What is the difference between the TECNZ Trade Event and TRENZ event?
The TECNZ Trade Event is a NZ Buyer/Seller event where you will have scheduled appointments with NZ and Australian inbound tour operators and destination management companies. ITOs have international Buyers (wholesale & retail agents) as ‘clients’ and contracted partners. Therefore, the ITO’s & DMC’s based here in New Zealand sell and market your product offshore for package and itinerary inclusions and are vital for securing commercial business on your behalf.TRENZ is an international Buyer/Seller event where you’ll have scheduled appointments with international Buyers that Tourism NZ/TIA invite to New Zealand to meet with NZ product suppliers. The majority of these companies will use a NZ based inbound operator or DMC to provide and handle all ground arrangements.
If there is one cost effective event to attend in 2026 to train NZ travel designers to learn about and establish commercial distribution partnerships for your visitor product under one roof this is the TECNZ event.
