Incidental costs
You are responsible for all your costs associated with the event including, without limitation, travel and accommodation costs (unless your registration includes costs as outlined on the Buyer Registration Page
For international inbound buyers, we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Accommodation and Flights
Please be mindful that cancellations within 90 days for hosted buyer accommodation will incur costs for TECNZ.
Flights are booked directly with AirNZ yourself and you are therefore responsible for any cancellations, changes and upgrades and related fees.
In the event of you cancelling your flight, the TECNZ credit MUST be reimbursed. Name changes are possible and any costs incurred are to be covered by the individual’s business/company.
Event changes or cancellation
If you have registered for the event and if you are no longer able to attend the TECNZ Trade Event, you can replace your registration with another person from your company.
Name changes are permitted up to and including Friday 28 March 2026. Please contact Francie (events@tourismexportcouncil.org.nz) to arrange. If you are unable to arrange a replacement, please note our cancellation policy below:
- TECNZ will require a full refund of the flight credit where applicable
- Please be mindful that cancellations within 90 days for hosted buyer accommodation will incur costs for TECNZ
- TECNZ reserves the right to alterations, reschedule or cancel events where circumstances are beyond its control
- TECNZ will not be liable to a delegate and will not be obliged to refund individual Buyer costs, in any circumstance where an event is cancelled due to a force majeure event. In these terms ‘force majeure event’ means any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of TECNZ and includes but is not limited to acts of God, power failures, riots, strikes, lock-outs, labour disputes, fires, war, flood, earthquake, the acts of any public authority or imposition of any government sanction, embargo or similar action, pandemics or other disaster.
In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason to postpone the event or change the dates, the organisers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate.
If by re-arrangement or postponement the event can take place, the booking between the delegate and TECNZ shall remain in force and will be subject to the TECNZ cancellation schedule.
Right of Removal
TECNZ reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any delegate or participant who disrupts the event or engages in any form of protest, demonstration, or behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive by TECNZ or venue staff. This includes any actions that interfere with the proceedings of the event, infringe upon the rights of other attendees, or violate applicable laws or venue regulations. Any individuals removed from the event under this clause will not be entitled to any refund of their registration fee or associated costs.
Special dietary/physical requirements
Please indicate any special and/or dietary requirements on your registration form. These will only be catered for if requested before 31 March 2026.
Image release
- In registering for TECNZ events, delegates grant permission to TECNZ, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image/likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotional, news, on-line/multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for TECNZ.
- Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from TECNZ in respect of their image/likeness or its use.
- Delegates release, and discharge TECNZ and any of TECNZ contractors, from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video.
- Should a delegate not agree to points 1, 2 and 3 they must advise TECNZ by contacting events@toursimexportcouncil.org.nz.
Compliance with law
You will ensure that you, and each of your employees, contractors and representatives, always comply with all applicable New Zealand law during your participation in the event.
Governing law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by New Zealand law and the courts of New Zealand shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine all issues which may arise under or in connection with these terms and conditions.
Privacy
- TECNZ may collect personal information from you (such as your name, business address and email) for the purpose of facilitating your participation in the event, and for event management.
- TECNZ may make changes to these terms and conditions at any time by publishing an amended version of these terms and conditions on the event website.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety is important to us, so please take a few moments to read the key information surrounding Health & Safety that is available at the venue. All delegates are required to follow all fire, health and safety regulations applied by the venue.
All TECNZ events are smoke-free and smoking in the venue is strictly prohibited.
